Mishandling your turkey, stuffing or even dessert can put you and your guests at risk of food poisoning. (Foodconnection/Getty Images) Brent Taylor approaches Thanksgiving dinner like an undercover spy. He'll casually query his hosts – How was the turkey cooked? What about the stuffing? Any strange ingredients? He's not on the hunt for tasty secrets, but rather for reassurance that the turkey and trimmings won't turn on him. That's what happened six years ago. "Three of us got sick eating that dinner," said Taylor. Taylor, who lives in Richmond, Va. , still cringes at the memory of that Thanksgiving dinner six years ago at a friend's house. "Everything looked great and tasted great and it was good company," he said.

Key:

  • Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
  • The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
  • The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).

Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
